Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1057, Amending the Mounds <br /> 3 View City Code, Title IX: General Regulations, Chapter 91, Concerning <br /> 4 Vacant Buildings ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Housing and Code Enforcement Inspector Anderson requested the Council hold the second hearing <br /> 7 and adopt an Ordinance that would amend City Code regarding General Regulations concerning <br /> 8 vacant buildings. He reported this Ordinance would require property owners to register vacant <br /> 9 buildings with the City. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1058 — Title XI: Business <br /> 23 Regulations, Chapter 119 Rental Dwellings, Section 119.024 Issuance of <br /> 24 License ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Housing and Code Enforcement Inspector Anderson requested the Council hold the second hearing <br /> 27 and adopt an Ordinance that would amend City Code regarding Business Regulations,Chapter 119 <br /> 28 Rental Dwellings, Section 119.024 Issuance of License. He reported this Ordinance made a minor <br /> 29 change to the rental license procedure by removing the requirement to have unpaid utility bills <br /> 30 paid prior to issuing a rental license. Staff noted all delinquent utility fees are assessed to properties <br /> 31 if unpaid to ensure the outstanding bills are recovered. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br /> 34 1058 —Title XI: Business Regulations, Chapter 119 Rental Dwellings, Section 119.024 Issuance <br /> 35 of License and publication of summary. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Council Member Meehlhause stated he supported the proposed language change due to the process <br /> 38 the City had in place to address delinquent utilities. <br /> 39 <br /> 4o ROLL CALL: Clark/Gunn/Meehlhause/Smith/Lindstrom. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Ayes 5 Nays—0 Motion carried. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 F.
