Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1057, Amending the Mounds <br />View City Code, Title IX: General Regulations, Chapter 91, Concerning <br />Vacant Buildings ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> <br />Housing and Code Enforcement Inspector Anderson requested the Council hold the second hearing <br />and adopt an Ordinance that would amend City Code regarding General Regulations concerning <br />vacant buildings. He reported this Ordinance would require property owners to register vacant <br />buildings with the City. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1058 – Title XI: Business <br />Regulations, Chapter 119 Rental Dwellings, Section 119.024 Issuance of <br />License ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> <br />Housing and Code Enforcement Inspector Anderson requested the Council hold the second hearing <br />and adopt an Ordinance that would amend City Code regarding Business Regulations, Chapter 119 <br />Rental Dwellings, Section 119.024 Issuance of License. He reported this Ordinance made a minor <br />change to the rental license procedure by removing the requirement to have unpaid utility bills <br />paid prior to issuing a rental license. Staff noted all delinquent utility fees are assessed to properties <br />if unpaid to ensure the outstanding bills are recovered. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br />1058 – Title XI: Business Regulations, Chapter 119 Rental Dwellings, Section 119.024 Issuance <br />of License and publication of summary. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he supported the proposed language change due to the process <br />the City had in place to address delinquent utilities. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Clark/Gunn/Meehlhause/Smith/Lindstrom. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br />
