Resolution 10234, Authorization to purchase a 2026 John Deere 4075R <br />Tractor. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the <br />purchase of a 2026 John Deer 4075R Tractor. He reported this unit would be used for mowing, <br />herbicide application, ball field maintenance and snow removal. He explained the existing unit <br />was getting older and staff was having a difficult time finding replacement parts. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith inquired if the City’s existing attachments would be compatible with the <br />new John Deere tractor. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson indicated there were <br />some attachments that will work with the new unit. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Smith. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10234, <br />Authorization to purchase a 2026 John Deere 4075R Tractor. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />L. Resolution 10236, Approving Bolton and Menk Engineering Services to begin <br />the Street Design for the 2027 Street Rehabilitation Project. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the City approve Bolton & Menk <br />Engineering Services to begin the street design work for the 2027 Street Rehabilitation Project. He <br />reviewed the streets that would be rehabilitated, which included Mounds View Drive, Silver View <br />Drive and Edgewood Drive. He reported that staff sent out RFP’s for this project and received <br />three responses. He noted staff met with the three firms and selected Bolton & Menk to perform <br />the engineering work for the 2027 Street Rehabilitation Project. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom questioned what Stantec was paid for the City’s last street project. Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson anticipated Stantec was paid more for the last <br />project due to the size and scale of that project. <br /> <br />Cristina Mlejnek, Bolton & Menk, introduced herself to the Council and stated she was looking <br />forward to working with the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn.
