Mounds View City Council May 11, 2026 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> 1 Council Member Gunn commented on the Tibet Fest that was held at Long Lake Park on Sunday, <br /> 2 May 10. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Council Member Gunn stated the Mounds View Police Foundation would be holding a fundraiser <br /> 5 at the Red Robin on Lexington Avenue on Monday, May 18 from 11:00 a.m. to close. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Council Member Meehlhause reported the Mounds View Lions would be holding their annual <br /> 8 garage sale at Hillview Park on Wednesday, May 13 through Friday, May 15. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Council Member Meehlhause stated the Ramsey County Suburban Law Enforcement Ceremony <br /> 11 would be held on Thursday, May 14. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Council Member Meehlhause commented on Wednesday, May 20 he would be attending a NYFS <br /> 14 Finance Committee meeting. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Council Member Meehlhause explained two weeks ago he and Coon Rapids Mayor Jerry Koch <br /> 17 had to visit Village Bank to open a new account for the convention bureau after a check was <br /> 18 fraudulently cashed for this organization. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Council Member Clark stated she attended the fiesta at El Novilla Alegre on Saturday, May 9. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Mayor Lindstrom thanked everyone who volunteered at the cleanup event over the weekend. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Mayor Lindstrom reported he had to attend an emergency clemency hearing last week and noted <br /> 25 he attended another hearing today. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 B. Reports of Staff. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Finance Director Bauman explained the Council approved conduit debt issuance was still moving <br /> 30 forward. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Assistant City Administrator Beeman stated Community Development was working on a FOG <br /> 33 (fats, oils and grease) system. He reported that staff was also working on the vacant property <br /> 34 ordinance and registry system. He indicated Dunkin Donuts completed their lease agreement and <br /> 35 staff was waiting for permits to come forward. He stated it was his understanding Culver's was <br /> 36 still moving forward. He commented the ownership for AmericInn changed, as did the ownership <br /> 37 for American National Bank, which changed to Associated Bank of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He <br /> 38 stated preliminary meetings are being held for the 2050 Comprehensive Plan and stated staff would <br /> 39 be pursuing grants for this project. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 City Administrator Zikmund stated the City received another registration for a cannabis retail shop. <br /> 42 He reported that the City's attorneys were speaking to the Minnesota Roots attorneys to get the <br /> 43 lease finalized within Mounds View Square. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 City Administrator Zikmund explained interviews would be held for the Finance Director position <br /> 46 on Tuesday, May 19. <br />
