REPORTS <br /> 7 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Council Member Smith stated last week she attended an international boating and safety <br /> 10 conference. She noted she also attended the Ramsey County League of Local Government meeting <br /> 11 where the group discussed the elections process. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Council Member Smith commented on Saturday she witnessed veterans,including her dad,receive <br /> 14 a quilt of valor at the Blaine Veterans Memorial. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Council Member Smith reported she toured the cannabis shop in Mounds View earlier today where <br /> 17 she learned a great deal about the safety measures that were in place. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Council Member Smith explained the Festival in the Park Committee would meet next on Tuesday, <br /> 20 May 19. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Council Member Smith indicated she would be participating in Ramsey County water rescue drills <br /> 23 with fire departments next week. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Council Member Smith stated she felt really bad the City did not recognize the announcement of <br /> 26 April 25 through May 3 as being National Firefighter Week. She thanked the SBM Fire <br /> 27 Department for serving the City of Mounds View well. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Council Member Smith reported this week was National Police Week and she thanked Police Chief <br /> 30 Zender and all the police officers for serving the community with professionalism and dedication. <br /> 31 She explained the State's Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony would be held on Friday, May 15 <br /> 32 in St. Paul. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Council Member Clark stated the Mounds View Police Foundation would be meeting on Tuesday, <br /> 35 May 12 at 5:30 p.m. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Council Member Clark commented she participated in the fourth cleanup event at the abatement <br /> 38 property. She thanked all the volunteers who helped at this event. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Council Member Gunn stated she attended the Northeast Youth and Family Services fundraiser <br /> 41 luncheon last week. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Council Member Gunn indicated she and Council Member Meehlhause attended the Irondale High <br /> 44 School scholarship night on behalf of the Mound View Lions. <br /> 45 <br />
