RESOLUTION NO. 10258 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR POLICE OFFICER RILEY SOLZ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Police Officer Riley Solz resigned from the City of Mounds View effective <br />June 4, 2026; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View <br />and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, estimated unused <br />vacation of 141.38 hours will be deposited into the Retirement Health Savings Plan for Officer <br />Solz; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View <br />and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, estimated unused comp <br />time of 60.00 hours will be deposited into the Retirement Health Savings Plan for Officer Solz; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual and the Labor <br />Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. <br />(LELS) Local No. 204, 50% of accrued sick leave hours will be deposited into the Retirement <br />Health Savings Plan. Officer Solz has an estimated sick leave balance of 336.94 hours (50% = <br />168.47 hours); and <br /> WHEREAS, the rate of pay for Officer Meyer upon resignation was $56.75 per hour. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves <br />the estimated separation compensation to Officer Riley Solz consistent with the Labor <br />Agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. <br />(LELS) Local No. 204, and the Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows: <br /> <br /> Hours Hourly rate Payout <br />Vacation Hours 141.38 $56.75 $ 8,023.32 Into RHSP <br />Compensatory Hours 60.00 $56.75 $ 3,405.00 Into RHSP <br />50% Sick Leave 168.47 $56.75 $ 9,560.67 Into RHSP <br />Estimated Total Separation Compensation: $20,988.99 Into RHSP <br /> Adopted this 8th day of June, 2026. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />(seal)
