Item No: 06.B. <br />Meeting Date: June 8, 2026 <br />Type of Business: SB <br />Administrator Review: ____ <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Andy Thomas, Park and Recreation Superintendent <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 10263, Recognizing the 2025 Coach of the Year <br /> <br />Background: <br />The City of Mounds View Coach of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens who have <br />given unselfishly of their time by coaching Mounds View youth and who are dedicated to <br />teaching sportsmanship and leadership skills to the youth of our community. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />Nominations were solicited from the public. The Parks, Recreation, and Forestry <br />Commission recommended Joseph Nguyen as their 2025 Coach of the Year during their <br />March 2026 meeting. <br /> <br />The Mounds View Coach of the Year Award is scheduled to be presented at the June 8, <br />2026 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: <br />Increase community engagement.
