§ 38.003 NONDISCRIMINATION. <br />(A) The City shall not discriminate in the provision of municipal services, employment, <br />appointments to boards and commissions, contracting, permitting, public <br />accommodations under municipal authority, or participation in city-sponsored programs on <br />the basis of any protected status recognized under the Minnesota Human Rights Act <br />(Minnesota Statutes Chapter 363A) or applicable federal law. <br />(B) Protected classes include, but are not limited to: <br />1. Race; <br />2. Color; <br />3. Creed; <br />4. Religion; <br />5. National origin; <br />6. Ancestry; <br />7. Sex; <br />8. Sexual orientation; <br />9. Gender identity or gender expression; <br />10. Disability; <br />11. Age; <br />12. Marital status; <br />13. Familial status; <br />14. Status with regard to public assistance; <br />15. Veteran status; and <br />16. Any additional class protected by state or federal law. <br />
