RESOLUTION 10129 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNES®TA <br />APPROVING THE 2040 PARR SYSTEM MASTER PLAN AS PREPARED BY WSB <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has many responsibilities, and one is to efficiently <br />operate and manage the Park system; and <br />system; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council Approved Resolution 9391' approving the proposal from <br />WSB for a Park System Master Plan on March 11, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, Key Irnplementation Strategies foT the Plan include: <br />1) Raise Community Awareness <br />2) Make Meaningful and Noticeable Improvements <br />3) Balance Improvements in Aliments with needs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plan includes the following implementation strategies: <br />1) Health and Safety <br />2) Destination Parks and Revenue Generation <br />3) Balanced and Equitable Recreation <br />4) Deferred / Phased Improvements; and: <br />WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission Reviewed the Draft <br />Plan at their June 26, 20'25 meeting and recommended the Draft plan be presented to <br />the City Council for consideration of approval. <br />WHEREAS, The City Council reviewed the Draft Plan at the July 7, 2025 City Council <br />Work Session. <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council Approve the attached Resolution <br />Approving the 2040 Park System Master Plan as prepared by WSB. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Accepts the 2040 Park System Master Plan as Prepared by WSB. <br />2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />
