The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10266 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A DATA PRACTICES POLICY AND <br /> DESIGNATING THE RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY AND COMPLIANCE OFFICIAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View (the “City”) is required each year, by <br />August 1, to update its policy regarding procedures, obligations, and data inventories <br />in accordance with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (Minnesota <br />Statutes Chapter 13) (“MGDPA”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the MGDPA requires the City to designate an individual <br />responsible for the collection, use, and dissemination of all data on individuals, <br />government data, and summary data maintained by the City (the “Responsible <br />Authority”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the MGDPA further requires the City to designate an individual to <br />whom persons may direct questions or concerns regarding difficulties in obtaining <br />access to data or other data practices–related issues (the “Compliance Official”); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View hereby adopts the updated document entitled “City of Mounds View <br />Minnesota Government Data Practices Act Guidelines and Procedures” as the City’s <br />official MGDPA policy (Exhibit A). <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby designated <br />as the Responsible Authority for purposes of the MGDPA and the City’s MGDPA <br />policy. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Administrator is also hereby <br />designated as the Compliance Official for purposes of the MGDPA and the City’s <br />MGDPA policy. <br /> <br /> Adopted on this 22nd day of June, 2026. <br /> <br /> <br />_________________________________ <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: <br />________________________________ <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />(SEAL)
