Mounds View City Council June 22, 2026 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />indicated he had a conversation last week with MN Roots and draft agreements were presented to <br />MN Roots. He commented he received an email prior to this meeting from MN Roots’ attorney <br />requesting these documents not be considered or approved. He recommended that the Council take <br />no action on these agreements. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 10268, Acceptance of the General Obligation Bond Proceeds, <br />Grant Agreement for the 2023 Sanitary Sewer System Improvement Project: <br />Handout at Meeting. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council accept the General <br />Obligation Bond Proceeds, Grant Agreement for the 2023 Sanitary Sewer System Improvement <br />Project. He explained this action would approve the grant the City received from the State through <br />the Met Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he supported the Council accepting these bond proceeds. <br />He asked how much of the water being processed by the Met Council was clear water. Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported the City was decreasing the amount of <br />clear water going into the system and stated the City’s lining efforts were paying off. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10268, <br />Acceptance of the General Obligation Bond Proceeds, Grant Agreement for the 2023 Sanitary <br />Sewer System Improvement Project. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 10269, Approve Professional Service Agreement with AE2S for <br />assistance with the America’s Water Infrastructure Act and Recertification of <br />the Risk and Resiliency Plan. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve a <br />Professional Service Agreement with AE2S for assistance with the America’s Water Infrastructure <br />Act and Recertification of the Risk and Resiliency Plan. He explained this action would provide <br />the City with assistance on the City’s Risk and Resiliency Plan which must be submitted to the <br />EPA. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10269, <br />Approve Professional Service Agreement with AE2S for assistance with the America’s Water <br />Infrastructure Act and Recertification of the Risk and Resiliency Plan. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Smith reported she spent her weekend at Back to the 50’s.
