The �pq,.- <br />tion. passed unanimousl: "��'�,'g�::`= 0 n�j�^ � <br />1984 BUIH;C�r Direc[oc Anderson distribu�ted copies of�[�e 1984 <br />UPDATE budget printouts and reviewed the writ[en staff re- <br />port. It was indicated that the budge[ had not <br />been formally adopted at this time but it appeared <br />tha[ there would be at least three major park pro- <br />jects to be budgeted for in 1984. The two projects <br />[hat appear to be receiving positive suppor[ from <br />the City Council included the purchase of a <br />tractor-mower and estaDlishment of a park planning <br />fund. <br />LEAF COMPOSTING <br />UPDATE <br />�`� <br />Commission memDers reviewed the budget process and <br />requested that a brief update be provided once the <br />budget is Eormally approved by the City Co�ncil. <br />Staff provided a brief background on the leaf com- <br />posting proyram proposed at Ardan Park and intro- <br />duced Brian Golob from Ramsey County Public Health <br />Departmen[ who presented a slide presenta[ion on <br />the proposed leaE compostiny program in Ramsey <br />Coun[y. Mr. Golob outlined the entire county pro- <br />cess and responded to yues[ions and concerns by the <br />Commission members. One item discussed by the com- <br />mission was the potenGial of fencing the area. <br />StafE indicated [hat a pr.oposal would be bcought to <br />the City Council to establish some type of perman- <br />ence Eor the Ardan Park site at the Monday, October <br />10 City Council meeting. <br />
