MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> August 1 , 1985 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6: 30 p.m. <br /> by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Chairperson Burmeist- <br /> er , Commissioners Weflen, Long, Linnell , and <br /> Silvis. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioner Letendre . <br /> Commissioner Bowman has resigned. <br /> Councilmembers present : Councilmember Quick. <br /> Staff present : Park and Recreation Director <br /> Anderson . <br /> INTERVIEWS WITH The Park Commission interviewed three appli- <br /> PARK COMMISSION cants for the current Park Commission vacan- <br /> PLICANTS cy: 6: 45 p.m. Alice Fritz , 7:00 p.m. Jan <br /> Lindberg , 7 : 15 p.m. Diane Wuori . Each inter- <br /> view lasted approximately 15 minutes. Fol- <br /> lowing the interview process, a motion was <br /> made by Commissioner Burmeister, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Long to recommend to the City <br /> Council that Diane Wuori be recommended as <br /> the individual to fill Commissioner Bowman' s <br /> vacancy. Motion passed. 4 ayes, 1 nay <br /> BRIEF TOUR OF CITY Due to time constraints, this item was de- <br /> PARK SYSTEM INCLUDING layed until the August 22, 1985 meeting. <br /> GREENFIELD PARK, WOOD- <br /> CREST AND RANDOM PARKS <br /> APPROVAL OF MAY 23 PARK A motion was made by Commissioner Burmeister, <br /> AND RECREATION MEETING seconded by Commissioner Long to approve the <br /> MINUTES May 23 Parks and Recreation Commission meet- <br /> ing minutes as presented. Motion passed <br /> unanimously. 5 ayes, 0 nayes <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS REPORT No report was provided. <br /> /d/Ng,Li/ <br /> CHAIRPERSON 'S REPORT G} rso inquired when the <br /> tennis nets would be placed at Greenfield <br /> Park. Staff indicated they would be up the <br /> • following day, as they were special ordered. <br /> Chairperson Burmeister also stated that there <br /> was a broken swing at Groveland Park and <br /> staff stated that they were not aware of it <br /> and that it would be repaired immediately. <br />
