RESOLUTION NO. 9707 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZE RECRUITMENT OF 2023 PARKS AND RECREATION <br />SEASONAL POSITIONS AND UPDATE JOB DESCRIPTIONS <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 5546 requires seasonal positions be approved by the <br />Mounds View City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Council approved the City operating a Parks and Recreation <br />Department in 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, job descriptions were previously approved in 2021 for the Summer <br />Program Lead (Internship), Summer Program Staff, Park Program Lead, Park Program Staff, and <br />Sports Official; and <br />WHEREAS, job descriptions for the Summer Program Lead, Summer Program <br />Staff, Park Program Lead, and Park Program Staff have been updated. The Lead <br />positions have been merged into one (1) job description, both are available as internships. <br />The Summer Program Staff and Park Program Staff job descriptions have also been <br />merged into one job description; and <br />WHEREAS, the Human Resources Committee discussed and agree recruitment <br />should begin for the Parks and Recreation seasonal job openings; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is requesting authorization to hire two (2) Summer Program <br />Leads (available as internships); up to 10 Summer Program Staff; and up to three (3) <br />Sports Officials; and <br />WHEREAS, all positions will be seasonal positions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />authorize the recruitment of 2023 Parks and Recreation seasonal positions. <br />Adopted this 27th day of February, 2023. <br />Al Hull, Mayor <br />ATTEST: /�)4 /' <br />Nyle Zi und, mi istrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
