City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />May 11, 2010 <br />Page 5 <br />1 • April 28, 2010 Middle Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) <br />2 educational trip on the Mississippi River. The trip included a look at runoff and how it <br />3 contributes to the sediment in the river. <br />4 • April 29, 2010 League of Minnesota Cities Loss Control Workshop. <br />5 • April 30, 2010 participation with Mayor Faust and several Kiwanis members picking up <br />6 waste from residents unable to make it to City Cleanup Day. <br />7 • May 1, 2010 City Cleanup Day. <br />8 • May 9, 2010 Sister City meeting. There will be a visit by individuals from Salo the end <br />9 of July and they will be participating in Village Fest. <br />10 • May 6, 2010 Lions Club meeting. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the April 28, 2010 MWMO educational trip <br />13 on the Mississippi River with Mayor Faust and Councilmember Gray. He reported on his <br />14 attendance at the April 29, 2010 Community Services monthly meeting. Highlights were the <br />15 increased enrollment for Community Service daycare and that the budget should be met by year - <br />16 end. <br />17 <br />18 Councilmember Roth reported on his attendance at the May 1, 2010 City Cleanup Day and the <br />19 May 6, 2010 North Suburban Access Corporation/CTV monthly meeting. He reported on his <br />20 attendance at the North Suburban Communications Commission Strategic Meeting on the future <br />21 direction of CTV. He commended Liquor Store Manager Larson and the Liquor Operations <br />22 Staff for the well run beer festival held on May 8, 2010. <br />23 <br />24 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />25 • April 28, 2010 MWMO educational trip on the Mississippi River. <br />26 • April 29, 2010 Safety and Loss Control Workshop. <br />27 • April 30, 2010 participation with Kiwanis members to pick up waste from residents <br />28 unable to make it to City Cleanup Day. <br />29 • May 1, 2010 City Cleanup Day. Thank you to the City Council and community for <br />30 coming out. <br />31 • May 3, 2010 City Council work session beginning the budget process. <br />32 • May 5, 2010 MWMO Executive Board Meeting. <br />33 • May 11, 2010 MWMO Board Meeting which included the appointment of citizens to the <br />34 MWMO Advisory Committee. <br />35 <br />36 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />39 are not on the regular agenda. <br />40 <br />41 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />42 <br />43 IX.
