He requested that future <br />presentations include a rough estimate on the amount of funds the City has spent to date in street <br />repairs. <br />Mayor Faust stressed the importance of comparing "apples to apples" with this type of analysis. <br />Mr. Hubmer indicated that close to $30 million has likely been expended on street and utility <br />projects to this point. He noted that from 1999 through 2006 the City received funds from <br />outside sources to help resolve flood issues. <br />Councihnember Stille requested that the Council be provided with further information from <br />Ehlers and Associates on the use of a 20 year bond as opposed to a 15 year bond. <br />Mr. Hubmer provided an overview of the effect of Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) <br />storm water permitting requirements to the City. Staff recommends that the City undertake a <br />study to identify an approach to meet RCWD Rules in order to proactively respond to RCWD <br />requirements for street improvement programs. Mr. Hubmer provided information and answered <br />questions of the City Council on the impact of Silver Lake TMDL requirements. <br />Mayor Faust stated his support of a "more is better" approach in regards to notification of the <br />public meeting on the TMDL Report that is to be scheduled in 2010. <br />30 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />31 <br />32 <br />33 <br />34 <br />35 <br />36 <br />37 <br />38 <br />39 <br />40 <br />41 <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 <br />45 <br />City Manager Morrison reported on the following: <br />• Completion of his fourth year with the Junior Achievement Program. <br />• City Managers Conference on the topic of leadership and networking. <br />• April 29, 2010 Loss Control Seminar put on by the League of Minnesota Cities. <br />• City's receipt of a FEMA $50,000 Fire System Grant. <br />• 2009 Audit will be included on the June 22, 2010 City Council Meeting agenda. <br />Insurance renewals are being completed. <br />Congratulations to Liquor Operations staff for a successful beer festival on May 8, 2010 <br />at the Marketplace Liquor Store. Sales on this day were $4,000 higher than the average <br />Saturday. <br />Councihnember Stille: No report. <br />Councilmember Gray reported on the following: <br />
