The meeting included a discussion on the budget and the organization's search for a <br />new space. <br />Councilmember Stille reported on his attendance at the October 9, 2010 Fire Department <br />Pancake Breakfast and Open House and the Marketplace Liquor Store Beer Tasting Event. He <br />commended the Fire Department for the great job done at the open house. <br />Councilmember Gray: No report. <br />Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />• October 4, 2010 City Council Workshop <br />• October 9, 2010 Fire Department Pancake Breakfast and Open House. He commended <br />the Fire Department for the education they provide. <br />• Marketplace Liquor Store Beer Tasting Event. He commended Miller Beer for the beer <br />cap campaign to collect funds for veterans. <br />• October 11, 2010 was the last Farmers Market for the year. The intent is to look for a <br />location to hold the event indoors once per month. He thanked Wendy Huebner and the <br />individuals that volunteer to run the event. <br />• Meeting earlier today with City Manager Morrison, the Executive Director of Metro <br />Cities, and himself regarding issues of concern to the City that the organization is <br />working on. <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />are not on the regular agenda. <br />Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />Mayor Faust announced that the State is willing to change the processes related to the cities <br />reporting requirements on water issues. The League of Minnesota Cities and the MPCA will be <br />distributing a survey by the end of the week to all metro city engineers and managers on the <br />subject. <br />X. ADJOURNMENT. <br />Mayor Faust adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m. <br />
