Progress has been made on <br />42 items, covering all seven goals, with twelve action items completed. A large portion of the <br />action items will be on-going from year to year. <br />Mayor Faust stated in regards Environmental Stewardship, he and Councilmember Jenson met <br />with a representative at the University of Minnesota regarding how the City can become a <br />GreenStep City. The first step in the requirements it to adopt a resolution stating the City's <br />intent. He requested discussion on whether the Council would be interested in directing staff to <br />look at the potential of the City's participation in the GreenStep Program or potentially <br />incorporating this into the 2011 Goals. He clarified he is not advocating spending funds on <br />consultants or taking staff time away from other items being worked on. He pointed out that the <br />City has likely met many of the requirements, and that the resolution would be the last action <br />item once the City's status in relation to the requirements has been determined. <br />Council consensus was interest in further consideration of involvement in the GreenStep <br />Program. <br />Mayor Faust noted that the Spring newsletter included the pyramid of City Council Goals and <br />stated his encouragement that individuals and organizations have worked in partnership with the <br />City to work towards accomplishing items included in the goals. He commended staff on its <br />hard work. <br />City Manager Morrison commented on the awards the City has received on the water reuse <br />project and stated the City of St. Anthony is looked at as a leader in the metro area in its <br />accomplishments. <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Morrison reported on the following: <br />• The 2010 Street Improvement Project is complete. <br />• All establishments have passed the Police Department Liquor Compliance Check. <br />• The City Engineer will be present at the November 9, 2010 City Council meeting to <br />discuss the 2011 Street Improvement Project. <br />• Congressman Keith Ellison will be present at the November 23, 2010 City Council <br />meeting to discuss the upcoming legislative session. <br />Councilmember Roth: No report. <br />Councilmember Stille: No report. <br />Councilmember Gray: No report. <br />Councilmember Jenson: No report. <br />Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the October 13'h and October 19`h Middle Mississippi <br />Watershed Management Organization Executive Committee Meeting and the October 19th <br />
