He noted that <br />the energy efficient side of the improvements relates to the City Council goals. <br />4 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Resolution 10- <br />5 073; A Resolution Supporting the St. Anthony -New Brighton School District #282 in their grant <br />6 Request to Hennepin County Youth Sports Program for Improvements to its Stadium Athletic <br />7 Complex, Softball Facilities at Central Park, to Improve the Drainage of the Multi -Purpose <br />8 Fields in Central Park and to Revitalize under -sized space to Create a Regulation Sized Soccer <br />9 Field at Wilshire Park Elementary Schools, with the following amendment: <br />10 2"a Whereas: "...to enhance its the stadium athletic softball facilities of Central Park <br />11 Field 1..." <br />12 <br />13 Councilmember Gray commended ISD #282 for the packet of information provided with the <br />14 grant proposal and noted the importance of the receiving the funding to complete the <br />15 improvements. <br />16 <br />17 Councilmember Stille commented that Hennepin County has been very supportive of the <br />18 community and that it should be noted where the grant funds are coming from. <br />19 <br />20 Dr. Thompson stated that these improvements could not be accomplished without the help of the <br />21 Commissioners, the County, and the partnership with the City. He thanked the City for its <br />22 support and partnership with ISD #282. <br />23 <br />24 Motion carried unanimously. <br />25 <br />26 Mayor Faust suggested that a plaque be posted to remember the source of the funds if the grant <br />27 funding is acquired. <br />28 <br />29 B. Northwest Youth and Family Services. Jeno Hromatka, presenting, <br />30 <br />31 Mr. Jerry Hromatka, Executive Director of Northwest Youth and Family Services (NYFS), <br />32 presented an update on the following programs provided by NYFS: 1) mental health counseling; <br />33 2) community services; 3) day treatment for youth. <br />34 <br />35 Mr. Hromatka provided an update on the following additional NYFS information: <br />36 • Summary of 2009 and 2010 <br />37 • Contracted and non -contracted services <br />38 • Summary of quarterly reports; highlights of 2010 <br />39 • Future plans <br />40 a Reaching out to the community / business community <br />41 <br />42 Mayor Faust thanked Mr. Hromatka for the work of NYFS and commented on the "bang for the <br />43 dollar" that the City receives in services for the funding support it provides to the organization. <br />44 <br />45 C.
