He noted that the energy efficient side of the improvements relates to the City Council goals. 4 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Resolution 10- 5 073; A Resolution Supporting the St. Anthony -New Brighton School District #282 in their grant 6 Request to Hennepin County Youth Sports Program for Improvements to its Stadium Athletic 7 Complex, Softball Facilities at Central Park, to Improve the Drainage of the Multi -Purpose 8 Fields in Central Park and to Revitalize under -sized space to Create a Regulation Sized Soccer 9 Field at Wilshire Park Elementary Schools, with the following amendment: 10 2"a Whereas: "...to enhance its the stadium athletic softball facilities of Central Park 11 Field 1..." 12 13 Councilmember Gray commended ISD #282 for the packet of information provided with the 14 grant proposal and noted the importance of the receiving the funding to complete the 15 improvements. 16 17 Councilmember Stille commented that Hennepin County has been very supportive of the 18 community and that it should be noted where the grant funds are coming from. 19 20 Dr. Thompson stated that these improvements could not be accomplished without the help of the 21 Commissioners, the County, and the partnership with the City. He thanked the City for its 22 support and partnership with ISD #282. 23 24 Motion carried unanimously. 25 26 Mayor Faust suggested that a plaque be posted to remember the source of the funds if the grant 27 funding is acquired. 28 29 B. Northwest Youth and Family Services. Jeno Hromatka, presenting, 30 31 Mr. Jerry Hromatka, Executive Director of Northwest Youth and Family Services (NYFS), 32 presented an update on the following programs provided by NYFS: 1) mental health counseling; 33 2) community services; 3) day treatment for youth. 34 35 Mr. Hromatka provided an update on the following additional NYFS information: 36 • Summary of 2009 and 2010 37 • Contracted and non -contracted services 38 • Summary of quarterly reports; highlights of 2010 39 • Future plans 40 a Reaching out to the community / business community 41 42 Mayor Faust thanked Mr. Hromatka for the work of NYFS and commented on the "bang for the 43 dollar" that the City receives in services for the funding support it provides to the organization. 44 45 C.
