1 St Anthony to Participate in Anoka/Hennepin Corridor Study <br />l Copies of the July 14th invitation for the City to appoint <br />3 representatives to serve on three advisory committees working on the <br />4 study had been included in the agenda packet. Marks said he would be <br />5 interested in serving on the Intergovernmental Advisory Committee. <br />6 Sundland suggested resident Bernard Weber's state employment background <br />7 might prove helpful to the City on the corridor study, which would <br />8 include Highway 88. Childs recommended that when the City gets a new <br />9 Administrative Assistant, that person could serve on the technical <br />10 Advisory Committee. <br />11 Council Action <br />12 Motion by Enrooth, seconded by Sundland to appoint Councilmember Marks <br />13 to represent St. Anthony on the Intergovernmental Advisory Committee and <br />14 to authorize a letter be written to Bernard Weber to ascertain his <br />15 interest in serving on one of the Corridor Advisory Committees which <br />16 will be undertaking a comprehensive study of a light rail transit <br />17 corridor to link Anoka County with downtown Minneapolis. <br />18 Voting on the motion: <br />19 Aye: Enrooth, Sundland, Makowske. <br />20 Abstention: Marks. <br />21 Motion carried. <br />e2 Council Agrees Calgon Carbon Had Good Reason for Late uelivery or uarpon <br />23 Filtration Equipment <br />24 The Council agenda packet had contained a copy of the July 21st letter <br />25 from the project engineers, Rieke -Carroll -Muller Associates, <br />26 recommending a three day extension without penalty of the Calgon Carbon <br />27 contract because of the unavoidable conflict between Federal regulations <br />28 against transporting over the Fourth of July weekend and the contract <br />29 delivery deadline. The engineers had also based their recommendation <br />30 on the fact that the delay had not prevented completion of the project <br />31 within the second contract time frame which ended July 20th. <br />32 Council Action <br />33 Motion by Marks, seconded by Sundland to waive the penalty for the three <br />34 day late delivery of Calgon Carbon equipment as per the project <br />35 engineer's recommendation. <br />36 Motion carried unanimously. <br />37 Council Concurs that Sanitary Sewer Rate Adjustments Better Method than <br />38 Assessing for Financing $225,000 Foss Road Lift Station Replacement <br />39 Project <br />m <br />
