In response
to these inadequacies,
the YSB will
set up a program of position
descriptions so board
members will
know exactly what is expected of
them.
Councilmember Marks indicated he expected to be on jury duty for
several more weeks.
DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES
Before the Hance & LeVahn report on cases they had prosecuted at
Hennepin County District Court on January 6th was ordered filed,
Councilmember Marks commented he was glad to see the Court require
at least some payment of the City's costs.
CITY MANAGER REPORTS
January 22, 1988 Staff Meeting Notes
*During the consideration of the 1988 goals adopted by the Fire
Department, Mr. Childs indicated the proposed $7,500 expenditure
for an air compressor to replenish the oxygen in the Department's
air masks and resuscitators would have to be considered in some
future budget session.
*In reference to the Police Chief Hickerson's observations related
to the school district's deferring maintenance items in antici-
pation of the potential transfer of Parkview's ownership, the
Manager indicated staff was documenting all deferred items which
would have to be taken care of before the City would take over the
building.
*Mr. Nelson's recommendations related to a joint grand opening for
the new Stonehouse restaurant and liquor warehouse operations were
explored briefly with arguments made for more exposure through
several events.
