I NEW BUSINESS <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 Motion by Marks, seconded by Ranallo to appoint Edward W. Brownell III <br />5 (Ted), 3205 Skycroft Drive, to fill in John Wingard's unexpired two <br />6 year term and to reappoint John Madden and Steve London to three year <br />7 terms on the St. Anthony Planning Commission starting with the January <br />8 19, 1988 meeting. <br />Vj <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />10 Council Accepts $2,656.00 Bid for Hand Paint Striping Machine <br />11 Motion by Marks, seconded by Ranallo to accept the low bid and award <br />12 the contract of $2656.00 to Prismo Safety Corporation, 400 LaLandix <br />13 Plaza, Parsippany, NJ, for a hand paint striping machine, for which <br />14 the estimated budget was $2,500. <br />15 <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />16 Public Works Authorized to Buy 3/4 Ton Pickup Through County <br />17 Motion by Marks, seconded by Ranallo to follow the recommendations of <br />18 the Public Works Director that $11,859 plus the 6% excise tax the City <br />19 is now required to pay be paid for the above vehicle, which was bid by <br />20 Hennepin County and for which $12,000 was budgeted in the 1988 budget. <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />on <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />24 The Public Works Director confirmed that the above was true about many <br />25 of the supplemental engineering services Columbia Heights had provided <br />26 over the years. He perceived the 1988 charges listed in the December <br />27 18th letter represented a savings to the City. <br />28 Council Action <br />29 Motion by Marks, seconded by Makowske to approve the 1988 service <br />30 charges to be paid Columbia Heights for supplemental engineering <br />31 services as per the December 18th listing of those charges by the <br />32 Columbia Heights Assistant Engineer and as previously approved by the <br />33 City Councils of Columbia Heights and St. Anthony. <br />34 <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />35 Bonniwell Retained Third Year to Do End of Year City Audit <br />7 <br />
