1 Motion by Makowske, seconded by Enrooth to adopt the resolution which <br />2 makes the above designation as per the application from the Bulletin <br />3 Editor dated December 15, 1987. <br />4 RESOLUTION 88-003 <br />5 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING LEGAL NEWSPAPER <br />6 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1988 <br />7 Motion carried unanimously. <br />8 March 15th to be Cut -Off Date for Receiving Public Improvements <br />9 Petitions <br />10 Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to adopt Resolution 88-004. <br />11 RESOLUTION 88-004 <br />12 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MARCH 15, 1988 <br />13 AS CUT-OFF DATE FOR RECEIVING PETITIONS <br />14 FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br />15 Motion carried unanimously. <br />16 St. Anthony National Bank to Serve as Official Depository for City <br />17 Funds <br />18 Motion by Marks, seconded by Makowske to adopt Resolution 88-005 after <br />19 the year in paragraph 3 has been corrected to read 111988". <br />20 RESOLUTION 88-005 <br />21 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL <br />22 DEPOSITORY FOR CITY FUNDS <br />23 Motion carried unanimously. <br />24 Action Tabled on Northern Mayors' Association Funding <br />25 The benefits which St. Anthony might derive from increasing the above <br />26 funding to $1,933 per year were explored at great length with the <br />27 City Manager and the Mayor. Both had talked to Brooklyn Park Mayor <br />28 Krautkremer about his December 28th request for a City resolution to <br />29 support an association budget of $100,000 to hire a full time staff <br />30 and operate an office or to retain competent consultants who would <br />31 lobby the legislature for better transportation and economic develop - <br />32 ment for the northern suburban areas. The general consensus appeared <br />33 to be against such a large increase for which no budget had been <br />34 adopted, but rather than denying the request outright, the matter was <br />35 tabled as follows: <br />36 Council Action <br />
