Ordinance 2014-04; an Ordinance Amending Sections 02.04, 02.05, §32.07, 02.24 21 and §32.26, Related to the Planning Commission and the Parks Commission. Mark 22 Casey, City Manager, presenting. 23 24 City Manager Casey presented the proposed amendments to the Ordinance and advised this is the 25 second of three readings and no comments have been received since the First Reading. 26 27 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Second 28 Reading of Ordinance 2014-04; an Ordinance Amending Sections §32.04, §32.05, §32.07, 29 §32.24 and §32.26, Related to the Planning Commission and the Parks Commission. 30 31 Motion carried unanimously. 32 33 B. Resolution 14-070; a Resolution Conditionally Granting the Consent to the Transfer of 34 Control of the Cable Television Franchise and Cable Television System from Comcast 35 Corporation to GreatLand Connections Inc Mark Casey City Manager, presenting. 36 37 City Manager Casey introduced Mr. Mike Bradley, the attorney for the North Suburban 38 Communications Commission. 39 40 Mr. Bradley explained that the Franchise Agreement among the ten Member Cities is set to 41 expire the end of November. He stated the Memorandum of Understanding that contains a 42 significant amount of consideration for the franchises is also set to expire the end of November. 43 He stated that all of the Member Cities have denied Comcast's request for franchise renewal and 44 the matter is pending before the Office of Administrative Hearings. He stated that the North 45 Suburban Communications Commission and Comcast have reached agreement to extend the 46 cable franchises and Memorandum of Understanding and address some noncompliance issues 47 that remain outstanding; in addition, the Member Cities are being asked to extend the Comcast 48 franchise for two years and to approve a cable franchise transfer application that Comcast has
