Mr. Fornell explained that Mr. Charles Peugh of Signcrafters Outdoor Display, Inc.,
13 77th Way N.E., had approached him on a proposed change in the signage for Poppin
Fresh at 3701 Stinson Boulevard. Mr. Peugh was interested in obtaining the Board's
opinion of the concept. Mr. Peugh said Poppin Fresh was interested in changing the
image of their business from just a pie shop to a restaurant and would require new
signage to affect such a change.
The Board told him that they felt the signage could be changed without increasing the
sqaure footage of the existing signs and told him if Poopin Fresh required a variance
to the City sign ordinance, they should appear with specific plans including size
and lighting proposals as well as any landscaping features so the Board can make an
informed judgment on such a request.
Motion by Mr. Hiebel, seconded by Mr. Marks to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 P.M. to
continue consideration of the new zoning ordinance.
Motion carried unanimously.
Helen Crowe, Secretary
