M <br />The Mayor and Councilman Stauffer reported on the meeting January 8th of the <br />Assocation of Metropolitan Municipalities at which an attempt by the growing <br />suburban.ccirmunities to promote the lobbying of the State Legislature to use <br />the 1975 census figures as a basis for state aid distribution was narrowly <br />defeated by the larger municipalities whose populations have dwindled during <br />the last five years. <br />The upcoming Bicentennial Dance was noted with an expression of appreciation <br />by the Council for the high degree of cooperation evident between the <br />various city organizations who planned the event. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to grant a motor <br />vehicle starting license to Joe Sroga. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Following a progress report by the City Manager on the Michaeloff litigation <br />the Council approved the payment of legal expenses. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve payment <br />of $2,029.35 to the Dorsey Firm for services during the month of November. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Flaik, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve payment <br />to Comstock b Davis of $2,824.00 and $303.06. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve payment <br />of all verified claims. <br />(lotion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adjourn the <br />meeting at 9:.15 P.M. <br />Motion carried unanimously <br />ATTEST: t !L <br />CLERK <br />Mayor <br />City PSanag <br />J <br />
