CITY OF ST. ANTHONY COUNCIL MINUTES May 11 1976 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:36 P.M. Present for roll call: Stauffer, Miedtke, Haik and Sundland Absent: Sauer Also Present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager Larry Vickrey, City Attorney Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. I.C. Comstock, City Engineer The minutes of the April 27, 1976 Council meeting were corrected as follows: Page 3, para. 2: "Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to authorize Councilman Haik to try to set up an immediate meeting of MSA officials with herself, the Manager and the three property owners...." Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve the April 27th minutes as corrected. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to waive furtiev readings and adopt an ordinance relating to a small amount of marijuana. ORDINANCE NO. 1976-004 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE POSSESSION OF A SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA: CHANGING PENALTIES THEREFOR BY AMENDING SUBDIVISION 7 OF SECTION 965:00 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES Motion carried unanimously. Results of the meeting of Councilmen Haik and Sundland, Mr. Comstock, Mr. Dulgar, Representative John Sarna and residents of 29th Avenue with the MSA representativ:: Gordcn Faye and Chuck Weichselbaum regarding the 29th Avenue Improvement Project were discussed. The state aid officials have agreed to eliminate the right hand turn to the north off 29th onto Stinson Boulevard as lonq as a 40 ft. wide road is constructed from Stinson to Roosevelt St. M.E. but there was no further comoromise regarding the other two right hand turns onto Silver Lake Road as long as that stretch of 29th is built with the parkway -like design. Mr. Tom Shaeffer reported that a majority of the residents of 29th had attended tine meeting of the T.A.P. 29th Committee May 7th and voted 36 to 2 to accept the compromise. This plan also includes sideigalks east of Silver Lake Road to Crestvie.,,l Drive on the north side of 29th and to the park entrance on Rozells Street c.n the south side.
