Page 5 Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to authorize a letter of appreciation be sent to the civic organizations including Boy Scouts who are responsible for the plantings in the area adjacent to St. Anthony Boulevard, Silver Lake Road and Highway 8. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to enter into an agreement with the Hennepin County Safety Communications Interim User Board for the use of the new communication.system. Motion carried unanimously. The letter from the Mrs. Jaycees regarding their bikathon for the mentally retarded was noted. Mayor Miedtke and Jim Farnell reported on their meeting with the Human Resourc- es Committee of the Metropolitan Council at which they had succeeded in con- vincing the committee to adopt the City's request for a modification of the Metro Council's policies on family -elderly subsidized housing ratios. Mr. Fornell said the City had been granted the variance they sought and the Community Development Grant funds would be received. The Mayor commended the Administrative Assistant for the excellent presentation and data he had furnished for the application for the funds. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution No. 76-019. RESOLUTION M0. 76-019 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE REVISED CITY OF ST. ANTHONY GRANT APPLICATION TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR INCLUSION IN THE URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRA,1i APPLICATION, IN ACCORD WITH THE HOUSING AND COMMUIIIT'Y DEVELOP- MENT ACT OF 1974 Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to grant vending and service station licenses to Sroga's Standard Station. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve payment of $2,885.54 to the Dorsey Firm for legal services during March, 1976. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Mayor Miedtke to approve payment of $3,000.00 to the George M. Hansen for the 1975 Audit. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to table ar;;ior. for further clarification of the payment of $21,328.25 to Coo�stock t: or engineering services for the 29th Avenue Improvement Project.
