Page 4 <br />Mr. Dulgar then reported on further contacts he har'_ with Hennepin <br />County Highway Department officials regarding their objections to <br />the roadway design for 29th 'avenue where it intersected Silver Lake <br />Road and presented the drawings which i.ndicaced how the Highway <br />Department wanted the road built to accomodate their proposal for <br />widening the intersection. Iie also rspoi•ted to Counc-Liman Haik <br />that there had been no con -prise re;acl:F d i#1J.i:h the ienne*-in County <br />officials on their design f:o_r thii- intersec�ion of -nilvel :Jake Road <br />and 37th Avenue and the highway ;representatives had inOicated to <br />him that the City's share of tho COsi: o ;rebuilding 37th had been <br />increased. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman -0ta.af:1er to <br />create a "No Parking" zone on the east side of Macalaster Drive: <br />from 37th Avenue N.E. to the railroad tracks as a safety measure. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Because the upgraded medical, dismemberment and accidental death <br />insurance coverage provided by the new contract with CNA Insurance <br />Company seemed to meet some of the concerns of the Maintenance <br />Department regarding their duties as parttime firefi.ght.ers and is <br />an economical increase in coverage for the parttime and ulltime <br />Fire Department members as well, the Council made the folloiring <br />motion: <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to <br />award the contract for insurance coverage for the St. Anthony Fire <br />Department to CNA Insurance Service for 1976-1977. <br />Motion carried unaniirously> <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer <br />to adopt a resolution commending the City Water Department for <br />the excellent rating on the quality of water, pumping and treat- <br />ment facilities and manpower for the City's water system made by <br />the Minnesota Department of Health. <br />RESOLUTION 76-022 <br />A RESOLUTION CODR4ENDING WATER DEPART- <br />MENT EMPLOYEES FOR EXCELLENT REPORT <br />FROM MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Fire Report for April, 1976 was filed. <br />The two vacancies on the Human Relations Committee were, noted <br />as well as the anticipated resignation of one member in September <br />and Councilman Haik was to discuss with the Chairman, the Committ- <br />ee's plans for scheduling meetings in the future. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to <br />
