Pg. 3 RESOLUTION 76-035 A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING UNPAID STATEMENTS TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR COLLECTION Motion carried unanimously. Action on the new zoning ordinance was again tabled because of lack of the necessary members to vote. Mrs. Carol King's request that a portion of her fence be allowed to remain on the City's property on the Mirror Lake holding pond was considered with Councilman Sundland requesting more specific information on the location of the fence before final action is taken on the request. The Attorney gave the reasons why he felt the permission for the fence which will protect Mrs. King's property and plantings at 517 15th Avenue S.W., New Brighton should only be given on a one year's basis. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to table action on Mrs. King's request to keep her fence on the City's property around Mirror Lake for a final survey of the property by the City Manager. Motion carried unanimously. The Home Care Report from North Memorial Hospital for June was filed. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to accept the George M. Hansen report on the annual audit of the city. Motion carried unanimously. The June, 1976 Police Report was filed. Consideration of the report from Mr. Fornell regarding the City's participation in the Section 8 Rent Assistance Program prompted the following motion: Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to commend Jim Fornell for the excellent job he has done in administering the Section 8 Rent Assistance Program. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Sundland reported on the meeting of the Suburban Rate Authority on July 21st and told of the attempt to vote an assessment of all municipalities for membership in the association. St. Anthony's assess- ment would amount to $150.00 which Councilman Sundland felt would be an unnecessary expenditure since the SRA's efforts seem to be a duplication of the work now being done by the MInnesota Public Service Commission and he recommended that the City either vote not to accept the assessment or to withdraw its membership in the SRA. The City Manager will research the City's ability to immediately withdraw from the organization. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to direct the City Manager to immediately inform the Suburban Rate Authority of the City's intention to withdraw its membership. Motion carried unanimously.
