Pg. 4 <br />Mr. Dulgar then gave the reasons he would recommend the Police Department <br />be allowed to purchase a motorcycle for patrolling saying such a vehicle <br />might make the police more accessible to the citizens then when they are <br />in a squad car and two of the present police force are qualified to <br />operate such a vehicle. He felt the cost of between $1,200.00 and $2,000.00 <br />would prove to be a good investment for the city. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve <br />the purchase of a motorcycle type vehicle for the use of the Police <br />Department. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilman Sauer gave the provisions of the employment agreement reached <br />with the City Manager and said the increased benefits include a 7j�% <br />increase in salary for 1976. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve <br />the employment agreement between the City and the City Manager. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve <br />heating licenses for Minnegasco, Don's Air Conditioning and Berghorst <br />Plumbing. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve <br />the refund of $1,044.42 be made to Berger Transfer to cover an error <br />in meter reading for which that company has been overcharged. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve <br />payment to Comstock & Davis for engineering services furnished on <br />the 29th Avenue Street Improvement Project 1976-1 of $1,103.23 for the <br />period of June 1 thru June 26, 1976 and $2,643.76 from June 28th thru <br />July 10, 1976. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Miedtke said he had already received $100.00 of the $151.96 listed <br />in the verified claims as due him for his trip to Duluth and that listing <br />should be amended to $51.96. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve <br />payment of all Verified Claims as per the amended listing in the agenda <br />for July 27, 1976. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />It was determined that no official action regarding the new zoning <br />ordinance could be taken since there were not the required number of <br />Council members in attendance to give official approval and the Mayor <br />suggested that a special Council meeting be held when both Councilman <br />Haik and Stauffer might be present to approve the ordinance and at <br />
