CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />October 12, 1976 <br />The meeting was called -to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:30 P.M. <br />Present for roll call: Sundland, Stauffer, Miedtke and Sauer <br />Absent: Haik <br />Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager <br />William Soth, City Attorney <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt <br />Resolution #76-047A which accomplishes a lot split for Midwest Federal <br />Savings and Loan Association in Apache. <br />RESOLUTION 76 - 047A <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPORTIONMENT OF <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilman Haik arrived at 7:32 P.M. <br />Dennis Engle of the Mirror Lake Manor Board of Directors was present to <br />discuss the request from the residents of the apartment complex for <br />additional street lighting. Their request had been tabled until the <br />budget had been approved. Discussion followed regarding what the logi- <br />cal locations would be for two lights and whether mercury or sodium <br />vapor lamps would be the most economical to operate. <br />Motion by Councilman Stauffer and seconded by Councilman Haik to author- <br />ize the installation of two street lights near Mirror Lake Manor with <br />the type of lamp and location to be left to the judgment and discretion <br />of the City Manager. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Two St. Anthony High School students, Terry Wilson and Leanne Yurick re- <br />quested permission for AFS to paint house numbers on the curbs of the <br />community and to solicit contributions for the service from the home- <br />owners with the proceeds to go to the American Field Services. The <br />Council indicated an interest in seeing the project continued from year <br />to year so that the whole community would be covered because it is help- <br />ful to both the Fire and Police Departments to have the residences <br />identified in this manner. <br />
