The quote for the premium for a public officials liability insurance <br />policy was considered to be prohibitively high and the Manager was <br />requested to investigate other possibilities of obtaining such <br />coverage including group plans. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to <br />table action on liability insurance for public officials for further <br />research and recommendations from the Manager. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The letter from Senator Mondale regarding_ the HE?7 Appropriation Sill <br />was commented on and filed. <br />Motion by Councilman Stauffer and seconded by Councilman Sauer to <br />authorize entry into the County Road Maintenance Agreement with <br />Hennepin County with an indication to them that an increase in com- <br />pensation for the City's maintenance of county roads will be consi- <br />dered in order for next year. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilman Stauffer wanted further time to investigate the time it <br />might take for her to serve on the North Suburban Day Activity Center <br />governing body and the invitation from that organization for Council <br />participation was filed. <br />Councilman Sauer answered auestions regarding the provisions in the <br />agreement which will transfer the Community Services to the school <br />district which dealt with the utilization of the utilities and the <br />understanding arrived at in reference to Fund 14. Councilman Stauffer <br />suggested the building which is now the civic center be referred to <br />in that manner rather than as Park View School in the agreement. <br />t -lotion by Councilman Stauffer and seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br />direct the Manager to enter into the agreement with School District <br />282 as presented for the transition of the Community Services to the <br />school district. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded. by Councilman Sauer to <br />approve the retaining of Curtis A. Pearson and John E. Drawz of <br />LeFevere, Lefler, Pearson, O'Brien and Drawz, to represent the City <br />on several assessment problems which require legal consultation. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilman Sauer questioned the identification of one of the items <br />in the Shoplifting Report from the Police Department and the Police <br />and Fire Department reports for September were filed. <br />(4) <br />
