CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 13, 2015 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />I 1 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, and Stille. <br />16 Absent: None. <br />17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Fire Chief Mark Sitarz, and Police Chief John Ohl. <br />18 Guest: Jerry Hromatka (Northeast Youth and Family Services). <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />22 ITEMS. <br />23 <br />24 I. APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY 13, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />25 <br />26 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />27 Council Meeting Agenda of January 13, 2015. <br />28 <br />29 Motion carried 4-0. <br />30 <br />31 11. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />32 <br />33 A. Donation to the St. Anthony Village Fire Department from Mr. Roy Quady. <br />34 <br />35 Fire Chief Sitarz introduced Mr. Roy Quady. <br />36 <br />37 Mr. Roy Quady, 2713 33`d Avenue NE, stated he was delighted to have been able to present a <br />38 $10,000 donation to the Police Department in May 2014 from the Mlinar sisters and tonight he <br />39 would be making a matching donation to the Fire Department. He provided a brief history of his <br />40 mother and her two sisters who lived in St. Anthony for a combined total of 90 years. He stated <br />41 the Mlinar sisters loved St. Anthony and appreciated the valiant firefighters and police officers <br />42 and he was making the donation on behalf of his mother and her two sisters, adding it was his <br />43 hope that St. Anthony residents would consider making a generous donation to the City. <br />44 <br />45 Fire Chief Sitarz thanked Mr. Quady and his family for their generous donation. <br />46 <br />47 Mayor Faust expressed the City Council's thanks and appreciation to Mr. Quady for their <br />48 donation and stated he was hopeful this donation spurs other residents to think about their <br />49 benevolence toward the public employees who serve, especially those who come to us in times <br />50 of need and answer the call for help. <br />
