ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />MAY 12, 2015 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, Jenson, and Stille. 15 <br />Absent: None. 16 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Police Chief John Ohl, and Sergeant Jon Mangseth. 17 <br />Guest: Wendy Webster (St. Anthony Chamber of Commerce). 18 <br /> 19 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 20 <br />ITEMS. 21 <br /> 22 <br />I. APPROVAL OF THE MAY 12, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve the City 25 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of May 12, 2015. 26 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 27 <br /> 28 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 29 <br /> 30 <br />A. Announcement of the Chamber’s Villager of the Year and Business of the Year. Wendy 31 <br />Webster presenting. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Ms. Wendy Webster, President of the St. Anthony Area Chamber of Commerce, stated the 34 <br />Chamber presented its annual Villager of the Year and Business of the Year awards on April 16th 35 <br />and was pleased to announce that the 2015 Business of the Year is the McReavy Family. She 36 <br />stated the McReavy family have been residents since 1963 and the family remains committed to 37 <br />St. Anthony through its sponsorship of numerous community events. She stated the nomination 38 <br />for the 2015 Villager of the Year award was handwritten by two 7th grade students and was 39 <br />proud to announce that the 2015 Villager of the Year is Carl Nowlin, a 1995 graduate of St. 40 <br />Anthony Village High School and third grade teacher at Wilshire Park Elementary. She stated 41 <br />that Mr. Nowlin was recently diagnosed with ALS and retired from teaching in March but 42 <br />continues to volunteer at the school on Fridays. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Mayor Faust extended the City Council’s congratulations to the Villager of the Year and 45 <br />Outstanding Business of the Year and thanked the Chamber for acknowledging these individuals. 46 <br /> 47 <br />III.
