ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />JULY 14, 2015 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, and Jenson. 15 <br />Absent: Councilmember Stille. 16 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey. 17 <br />Guest: VillageFest Chair Julianne Hunter and Planning Commissioner Bob Foster. 18 <br /> 19 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 20 <br />ITEMS. 21 <br /> 22 <br />I. APPROVAL OF THE JULY 14, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve the City 25 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of July 14, 2015. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 28 <br /> 29 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 30 <br /> 31 <br />A. Presentation of 2015 VillageFest by Julianne Hunter. 32 <br /> 33 <br />VillageFest Chair Julianne Hunter presented a schedule of events and stated VillageFest will 34 <br />begin on Friday, July 31st, and end on Sunday, August 2nd. She stated the parade will be on 35 <br />Friday followed by the street dance at the St. Anthony Shopping Center. She stated there will be 36 <br />entertainment all day on Saturday ending with fireworks at Central Park. She stated the St. 37 <br />Anthony Chamber of Commerce has decided not to do the golf tournament this year and instead 38 <br />will be hosting a happy hour celebrating small businesses in St. Anthony and this event will be 39 <br />held at the Village Pub on Friday before the parade. She stated the Kiwanis will be hosting a 40 <br />lunch at the high school on Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m. and they are looking for vendors for 41 <br />the arts and craft show. She stated that further information regarding VillageFest can be found at 42 <br />www.stanthonyvillagefest.com. She expressed thanks and appreciation for the generous 43 <br />donations from many of the City’s businesses and thanked the major contributors including 44 <br />Stinson Electric, Anona Gourmet, St. Anthony Mobil, and Fitness Crossroad. She also thanked 45 <br />the Police and Fire Departments and the Public Works staff for all their help during VillageFest. 46 <br /> 47 <br />Mayor Faust expressed the City Council’s thanks and appreciation to Ms. Hunter and all the 48 <br />volunteers for their work on VillageFest. 49 <br /> 50 <br />3
