CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 1 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 JULY 28, 2015 3 4 CALL TO ORDER. 5 6 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 8 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 10 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 12 ROLL CALL. 13 14 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, Jenson, and Stille. 15 Absent: None. 16 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey. 17 Guest: Police Chief John Ohl, Sergeant Jon Mangseth, Officer Jeronimo Yanez. 18 19 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 20 ITEMS. 21 22 I. APPROVAL OF THE JULY 28, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 23 24 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve the City 25 Council Meeting Agenda of July 28, 2015. 26 27 Motion carried unanimously. 28 29 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 30 31 A. Presentation of Night to Unite by John Ohl, Police Chief. 32 33 Police Chief Ohl introduced Sergeant Jon Mangseth and Officer Jeronimo Yanez to the Council. 34 35 Sergeant Mangseth made a presentation to the Council on the history and accomplishments of 36 Night to Unite. 37 38 Mayor Faust stated the Council is proud of their Police Department and the officers and thinks 39 the vast majority of people are supportive of the police. He understood it was very difficult to 40 keep their heads high but he wanted them to remember that the Council and City staff are there 41 for the officers and Police Department. He thanked the officers for all they do in the community. 42 43 Officer Yanez made a presentation to the Council about what the Police Department does. He 44 reviewed the services offered in the City through the Police Department. He noted the Citizen 45 Academy was a very popular service. 46 47 B. Proclamation for Night to Unite on August 4, 2015. 48 49 Councilmember Brever recited the Proclamation for Night to Unite on August 4, 2015. 50 11
