ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />SEPTEMBER 22, 2015 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Gray, Jenson, and Stille. 15 <br />Absent: None 16 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Chris Fuller & Mattie Jaros – St. Anthony Fire 17 <br />Department 18 <br /> 19 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 20 <br />ITEMS. 21 <br /> 22 <br />I. APPROVAL OF THE SEPTEMBER 22, 2015, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 25 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of September 22, 2015. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Motion carried unanimously. 28 <br /> 29 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS 30 <br /> 31 <br />A. Presentation by Tom Miller, St. Anthony Kiwanis 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mr. Tom Miller, St. Anthony Kiwanis introduced Michael Kirschling, Tom Rapacz, and Jack 34 <br />Kiefner who all were in attendance at the meeting. Michael Kirschling thanked the community 35 <br />as well as their past support for the St. Anthony Kiwanis over the years. Monies raised are used 36 <br />to support numerous community projects. Peanut Day in St. Anthony is the Kiwanis number one 37 <br />source of income. The Kiwanis support two St. Anthony High School scholarships, K-Kids in 38 <br />elementary school, Builders Club in middle school, Key Club in high school, and Action Club in 39 <br />the Community Center. This year will be the 44th year Kiwanis has held annual Peanut Day in St. 40 <br />Anthony. Peanut Day started in 1951 in the Chicago area. Kiwanis International is also 41 <br />celebrating their 100th year. Mr. Kirschling thanked the City Council for their support on behalf 42 <br />of all the Kiwanis. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Mayor Faust thanked the Kiwanis representatives. 45 <br /> 46 <br />B. Proclamation for St. Anthony Peanut Day Friday, September 25th 2015. 47 <br /> 48 <br />Councilmember Jenson presented the Proclamation for St. Anthony Peanut Day Friday, 49 <br />September 25, 2015. 50 <br />13
