Resolution 99-005, re: Developers Agreement with Hitching Post Real Estate. <br />2 Mr. Soth directed the Commission's attention to the Redevelopment Agreement for the Hitching <br />3 Post. He stated that ownership transferred late in November 1999, and that the name of the other <br />4 party involved is now "Hitching Post Real Estate, LLC', as correctly reflected on the Agreement. <br />6 Mr. Soth recommended that the same minor revisions be made to Resolution 99-005, which are: <br />7 1. In the third "WHEREAS" clause, change "real property" to "easements"; and <br />8 3. Add to the end of the Resolution the following language: "with such minor revisions as <br />9 are acceptable to the Executive Director, City Attorney, and Consultant." <br />10 Motion by Marks, second by Thuesen, to adopt Resolution 99-005 as modified by City Attorney <br />1 I Soth's recommendations. <br />W <br />13 <br />is <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />VIII. OTHER BUSINESS. <br />Marks introduced his wife, Florence, and thanked her for her support and dedication during his <br />years of working with the City. <br />16 Marks also wished to state that he has been very appreciative of the people he has had the pleas - <br />17 ure of working with on the H.R.A. and the City Council. In particular, Marks expressed appre- <br />I8 ciation for the far-reaching efforts of City Staff and especially Executive Director and City Man - <br />19 ager Michael Morrison. He commended Morrison and City Staff on jobs well done. <br />20 Ranallo warmly thanked the residents of the City of St. Anthony for the patience, perseverance <br />21 and support shown over the past 22 years of his term as Mayor. He stated that it is a complicated <br />22 position at times because some decisions are unpopular, but all in all, the decisions that have <br />23 been made he believed were made for the betterment"of the community. <br />24 Ranallo introduced his family and grandchildren, whom he stated have supported and assisted <br />25 him during his term as Mayor. In particular, Ranallo expressed sincere appreciation for his wife, <br />26 Rita, for her continued support. <br />27 Marks recalled when he first began considering City government, a good friend, Donna Stouffer, <br />28 had encouraged him to apply for a position on the Planning Commission and he was grateful for <br />29 that encouragement. Marks mentioned that his wife, Florence, was instrumental in organizing <br />30 the St. Anthony Orchestra, and he reviewed the background of other projects that had begun <br />6many years ago when he was joining City government. <br />32 One factor in particular that came to mind, Marks said, was a breath of fresh air that happened to <br />
