1®4 MIDDLE SCHOOL DARE REVIEW FOR 1998-1999 This summary will cover my (D.Cotroneo)DARE activities for the 1998-1999 school yam• On July 8, 1998, we hosted the MN Air National Guard helicopter landing in the parking lot of the Stonehouse. This event was organized for a summer school group of mixed aged students from St. Charles School. This event was attended by approximately 100 students and several community residents. It appeared that the event was enjoyed by all. A special Thank You has to go to the St Anthony Fire Dept. for their assistance at the landing site. On October 9, 1998, I met with the AM and PM Pre-School classes at Community Services. This has become an annual visit for me, and is quite fun. On October 20, 1998; I began classes at St Anthony Middle School with 2 classes of 81h graders. These two classes represented the 1'group of students I'd meet with from the school. I finished with this group on October 28, 1998. On November 4, 1998, I began classes at St. Charles Middle School with 2 classes of 8a' graders (taught as one class). I finished with this group on December 2, 1998. I then held a pizza party for the SAMS students on November 24, 1998 and one for the St Charles students on December 4, 1998. On March 4, 1999, I began classes with the second group of 8'h graders at SAMS. I finished with these two classes on March 18, 1999. -I then held a pizza party for this group on March.25, 1999. On June 4, 1999, I attended the St. Anthony High School Graduation, and again took part in the Senior All-Night party event.
