-2- <br /> 3. Three new reserves- are being rained to join the Reserve Firefighters. <br /> 9 J i <br /> 4. The update Emergency Plan is complete. A meeting of Department Heads <br /> to discuss individual responsibilities during disasters has been <br /> scheduled for January 27th. <br /> Don Nickerson <br /> 1. Two items for Council consideration at their January 13th meeting.: <br /> (a) purchase of a new squad; and, (b) approval of the annual animal <br /> control contract. <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1. St. Anthony Shopping Center. Is considering two new restaurants. The <br /> Dairy Queen owner (and Mr. Hamer) were told by Eberhardt the shopping <br /> center would be extensively renovated. Now it appears only the roofs <br /> of the buildings will be upgraded. The Dairy Queen owner has arranged <br /> a meeting with the Public Works Director, Eberhardt, and himself to <br /> discuss the matter. <br /> 2. A hockey puck went through the window of a resident's home near Silver • <br /> Point Park. The resident has submitted a bill to the city for some of <br /> the damage . The City' s liability wi 1.1..be determined. <br /> 3. Herman Weber's last day at work is January 30th. He intends to travel to <br /> Texas soon thereafater. A Board of public works experts interviewed five <br /> applicants -for Mr. Weber's position and unanimously selected Jim. Lorbeski <br /> as the new Supervisor. Two other St. Anthony public works employees were inter- <br /> viewed and Mr: Hamer-complimented them both on their answers, which., he indicated, <br /> were excellent also. The opening for-Mr. Lorbeski 's position (mechanic) has <br /> been advertised and will be filled the first part of February. <br /> 4. Projects. Chandler Place is complete and the units are filling quickly. <br /> Buildings 1 , 2, and 3 of the Village Townhomes are complete, 4, 5, and <br /> 6 are expected to be completed this spring. Blanske's townhomes have all <br /> been sold but the units are not complete yet. <br /> Everyone present indicated their Christmas/New Year's went fine - some, <br /> however, are very glad the holiday season is over. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 11:45 A.M. <br /> cjk <br />
