MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: January 1, 1987 <br /> TO: David Childs, City Manager <br /> Department Heads <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin, Administrative Secretary <br /> ITEM: STAFF MEETING NOTES - JANUARY 6, 1987 <br /> The staff meeting began at 10:05 A.M. Present were Larry Hamer, Carol Johnson, <br /> Ray Nelson, Lee Entner, Don Hickerson, David Childs and Connie Kroeplin. <br /> The meeti-ng began with everyone present taking part in a di-scussion about the <br /> City's deferred compensation programs. Employees may choose from three plans <br /> (ICMA, Aetna, and Minnesota Mutual ) . Representatives from ICMA and Aetna are <br /> scheduled to present their plans January 6th and January 12th. <br /> Carol Johnson <br /> 1. The books will be closed near- the end of January and Mrs. Johnson has asked <br /> the Department Heads to make sure she has all of their 1986 bills by that, <br /> time. <br /> • 2. Purchase of new voting machines will be on the Council 's January 13th <br /> - meeting (Mrs. Johnson will be present at that meeting) . <br /> 3. She plans to go to Las Vegas in February. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1. Business was very good for the liquor operations during the holiday <br /> season. <br /> 2. " Inventory went well (Stu Bonniwell , auditor, was present). <br /> 3. Harrison House has submitted blue prints for the Stonehouse remodeling. <br /> Mr. Nelson is very pleased with the plans and indicated he is now <br /> waiting for -estimates from--some:contractors. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1. Statistics indicate St. Anthony has had a 75% recovery rate for <br /> victims -using the Heart-Aid machine (national average is 23%) . <br /> 2. Bill Myers has finished a two week course relating to public educa- <br /> tion. Mr. Myers plans to begin public education at the Kenzington <br /> (seniors) and public and parochial schools. <br />
