mom <br /> REGIONALTR NSRB04RD <br /> 270 Metro Square Building <br /> St. Paul.Minnesota 55101 <br /> 612/292-8789 <br /> The Regional Transit Board (RTB) passed the following actions in January: <br /> January 4, 1988 - <br /> The RTB authorized its executive Director to negotiate and execute a contract <br /> with BRW, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $100,000 to conduct the Light Rail <br /> Transit Planning Analysis for the Midway Corridor. <br /> The RTB approved the appointments of the following officers: <br /> Rochelle Graves, Vice Chair <br /> Paul Joyce, Treasurer <br /> Mary Fitzgerald, Secretary <br /> The RTB approved the appointment of committee chairs and members as recommended <br /> by the chairman. (They remained unchanged from last year.) <br /> The RTB also had extensive discussion on- the preliminary recommendations of the <br /> Metro Mobility Evaluation, which is being done by Carter Goble Associates , ry <br /> Inc. in association with Norma Fedricks and Associates. The final report is <br /> expected to be completed in early February. <br /> January 19, 1988 <br /> The RTB adopted the Standards, Procedures and Guidelines for Competitive <br /> Procurement of Public Transit Services. <br /> The Transportation Handicapped Advisory Committee had extensive discussion on <br /> the preliminary recommendations Metro Mobility Evaluation and Metro Mobility <br /> saftey issues. <br /> January 20, 1988 <br /> The Rideshare Advisory.Committee worked with Transportation Management <br /> Services, in association with Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch; Inc, to pinpoint the <br /> institution al , political , financial , technical and marketplace issues that <br /> would affect the formation of strategies for a metropolitan area rideshare <br /> program. The committee and the consultants are currently going through a six <br /> step process which will help them to identify the best strategies and <br /> arrangements for delivering rideshare services for people in the seven-county <br /> area.
