mom REGIONALTR NSRB04RD 270 Metro Square Building St. Paul.Minnesota 55101 612/292-8789 The Regional Transit Board (RTB) passed the following actions in January: January 4, 1988 - The RTB authorized its executive Director to negotiate and execute a contract with BRW, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $100,000 to conduct the Light Rail Transit Planning Analysis for the Midway Corridor. The RTB approved the appointments of the following officers: Rochelle Graves, Vice Chair Paul Joyce, Treasurer Mary Fitzgerald, Secretary The RTB approved the appointment of committee chairs and members as recommended by the chairman. (They remained unchanged from last year.) The RTB also had extensive discussion on- the preliminary recommendations of the Metro Mobility Evaluation, which is being done by Carter Goble Associates , ry Inc. in association with Norma Fedricks and Associates. The final report is expected to be completed in early February. January 19, 1988 The RTB adopted the Standards, Procedures and Guidelines for Competitive Procurement of Public Transit Services. The Transportation Handicapped Advisory Committee had extensive discussion on the preliminary recommendations Metro Mobility Evaluation and Metro Mobility saftey issues. January 20, 1988 The Rideshare Advisory.Committee worked with Transportation Management Services, in association with Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch; Inc, to pinpoint the institution al , political , financial , technical and marketplace issues that would affect the formation of strategies for a metropolitan area rideshare program. The committee and the consultants are currently going through a six step process which will help them to identify the best strategies and arrangements for delivering rideshare services for people in the seven-county area.
