1 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Makowske to reschedule the Council ' s 2 second meeting in February to 7 : 30 P.M. , February 24th,. in 3 compliance with the state law forbidding other official meetings 4 to be held after 6 : 00 P.M. the evening of the caucuses. 5 Motion carried unanimously. 6 Long Term Planning and Goal Setting Retreat to be Held February 26- 7 27th 8 During the discussion of the above, Councilmember Marks reiterated 9 that although he would be able to attend the Friday evening session, 10 the class he would be teaching on Saturday would prevent him from 11 attending that session. 12 NEW BUSINESS 13 DENNIS MURPHY AND TOM GOULD TO REPRESENT THE CITY ON NORTH SUBURBAN 14 CABLE COMMISSION 15 Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to appoint Dennis Murphy, 3412 16 Downers Drive, to a one year term on the above commission with Tom 17 Gould continuing to serve for one year as alternate under the 18 conditions related to attendance and information sharing set forth 19 in the Council' s January 26th agenda. The Council requests that 20 copies of these conditions be sent to both Mr. Murphy and Mr. Gould. • 21 Motion carried unanimously. 22 City Manager ' s 1988 Employment Agreement Approved 23 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to adopt the resolution which 24 authorizes execution of the 1988 employment agreement with Mr. 25 Childs. 26 RESOLUTION 88-008 27 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE 28 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY TO EXECUTE THE 29 EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN DAVID M. CHILDS 30 AND THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 31 Motion carried unanimously. 32 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 33 Ordinance amendments related to weapons and controlled substances 34 were given second readings. 35 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Makowske to approve the second 36 reading of Ordinance 1988-001. 7
