1 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Makowske to reschedule the Council ' s <br /> 2 second meeting in February to 7 : 30 P.M. , February 24th,. in <br /> 3 compliance with the state law forbidding other official meetings <br /> 4 to be held after 6 : 00 P.M. the evening of the caucuses. <br /> 5 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 6 Long Term Planning and Goal Setting Retreat to be Held February 26- <br /> 7 27th <br /> 8 During the discussion of the above, Councilmember Marks reiterated <br /> 9 that although he would be able to attend the Friday evening session, <br /> 10 the class he would be teaching on Saturday would prevent him from <br /> 11 attending that session. <br /> 12 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 13 DENNIS MURPHY AND TOM GOULD TO REPRESENT THE CITY ON NORTH SUBURBAN <br /> 14 CABLE COMMISSION <br /> 15 Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to appoint Dennis Murphy, 3412 <br /> 16 Downers Drive, to a one year term on the above commission with Tom <br /> 17 Gould continuing to serve for one year as alternate under the <br /> 18 conditions related to attendance and information sharing set forth <br /> 19 in the Council' s January 26th agenda. The Council requests that <br /> 20 copies of these conditions be sent to both Mr. Murphy and Mr. Gould. <br /> • <br /> 21 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 22 City Manager ' s 1988 Employment Agreement Approved <br /> 23 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to adopt the resolution which <br /> 24 authorizes execution of the 1988 employment agreement with Mr. <br /> 25 Childs. <br /> 26 RESOLUTION 88-008 <br /> 27 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE <br /> 28 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY TO EXECUTE THE <br /> 29 EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN DAVID M. CHILDS <br /> 30 AND THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> 31 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 32 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 33 Ordinance amendments related to weapons and controlled substances <br /> 34 were given second readings. <br /> 35 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Makowske to approve the second <br /> 36 reading of Ordinance 1988-001. <br /> 7 <br />
