GOFF/WILKIE &ASSOCIATES, INC. • <br /> MARGARET MCPHERSON is a new addition to Goff-Wilkie, who brings a strong <br /> background in government affairs to the firm. <br /> McPherson most recently lobbied for Care Providers of Minnesota, a trade association <br /> consisting of 250 long-term care facilities. As the Director of Public Affairs, McPherson <br /> was responsible for management of the Public Affairs Department. In addition to <br /> supervising staff, she was responsible for issue management and implementation. <br /> McPherson represented Care Providers at the legislature and before the Metro Council as <br /> well as the Departments of Health &Human Services, State Planning and other public and <br /> private agencies. <br /> Before embarking on her career in lobbying, McPherson spent four sessions as a <br /> researcher in the Senate IR caucus. She was responsible for handling constituent concerns <br /> on health and human service issues, as well as research in developing caucus issues and <br /> drafting legislation. e <br /> MARGARET SIEBEN SCHMIDT is beginning her second year with Goff-Wilkie. <br /> Schmidt, a gradilate of Gustavus Adolphus College was an honor student in Political <br /> Science and Communications. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a legal investigator <br /> for a Minneapolis law firm. <br /> With extensive personal experience in political campaigns and excellent research skills, <br /> Schmidt provides Goff-Wilkie with a valuable combination of knowledge of the political <br /> players and ability to develop documented research to strengthen our clients positions. <br /> - 18 - <br />
