*Once a week recycling on the same day as garbage pick up. • <br /> *They would provide recycling containers. <br /> *They would provide 65 or 90 gallon containers for all <br /> households in the City and use the automated system for <br /> regular garbage pick up. <br /> *They would pick up yard wastes in a separate pick up 4 <br /> weeks in the spring and 4 weeks in the fall. <br /> *We would be paid all proceeds from sale of recyclables. <br /> *Total cost $12/household/month. Current rate for trash <br /> pick up only is $11. 50. <br /> *They request that they have an exclusive agreement with <br /> City. <br /> *Current breakdown: <br /> Waste Management 1, 650 residential customers <br /> Twin City Sanitation 200 residential customers <br /> Woodlake 130 residential customers <br /> Krupenney will not tell us (but probably <br /> less than 100) <br /> *City would bill for garbage/recycling in water bill and <br /> could subsidize rates based on receipts from counties and <br /> from sale of recyclables. <br /> In order to accomplish the Waste Management proposal, certain <br /> public hearings are necessary. A copy of the state law is <br /> attached. <br /> We should have some discussion on the alternatives because the <br /> counties are breathing down our necks.
