STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> • AUGUST 1, 1988 <br /> The meeting began at 10:15 A.M. Those present were Don Hickerson, <br /> Ray Nelson, Connie Kroeplin, Lee Entner, Larry Hamer, and Dave <br /> Childs. <br /> Dave Childs <br /> 1. A new water/sewer billing clerk has been hired. Her name is <br /> Pat Holmberg. She will begin August 4th. <br /> 2. C. G. Rein Co. has requested a conditional use permit and sign <br /> variance for a proposed Burger King fast food restaurant. The <br /> restaurant would be located near the -old Sports and Health <br /> building, which will be torn down. <br /> 3 . A resident has suggested putting in a 3-way stop sign at 34th <br /> and Coolidge. Mr. Hamer indicated the resident would need to <br /> obtain a petition signed by the neighbors and Council approval for <br /> the signs. Mr. Hamer will contact the resident to explain the <br /> process. <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1. Sealcoating will begin August 3rd. <br /> 2. Construction on the pole building for the temporary carbon <br /> filters will begin about August 15th. <br /> 3. The water filters at the new carbon filtration plant are <br /> running smoothly. Initial test results will be received soon. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1. The new computer will be set up at Apache on August 4th. <br /> 2. Business at the Stonehouse is holding well . <br /> 3. The new garbage cans at the SAV Liquor Warehouse I are a -big <br /> improvement over the old ones. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1. The committee assigned to study the purchase of, a rescue squad <br /> are still looking and comparing prices of used vs. new vehicles. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1.
