Changes Okayed <br /> 5 Commission Recommendation <br /> 6 Commissioner Hansen reported the Planning Commission had unanimously <br /> 7 approved of the changes the developers had requested in the Planned Unit <br /> 8 Development for Phase 3 of the Kenzie Terrace Redevelopment project as <br /> 9 reported in the minutes. These included a 43 foot height from grade to <br /> 10 roof peak for the three' apartment buildings. - The developers have <br /> 11 signed a Redevelopment Agreement with the City to. construct these <br /> 12 buildings on the site currently occupied by the St. Anthony .Village <br /> 13 Shopping Center and an adjoining parcel of unused parking area on the <br /> 14 west side of the Town and Country Store property. <br /> 15 Paul Brewer, President of LaNel Financial .Group, Inc. , and Greg Bronk, . <br /> 16 Analyst for Lang-Nelson Associates, were present but further testimony <br /> 17 from them was not deemed necessary in view- of the extensive minutes on <br /> 18 the proposal which the August 16th hearing had generated. <br /> 19 Mr. Soth suggested the approval be made subject to a plat being provided <br /> 20 as required by Ordinance and that the Council waive the requirement that <br /> 21 the developers post a 2% bond because that had already been taken care <br /> 22 of with the $360 ,000.00 Letter of Credit the developers had provided the <br /> 23 H.R.A. when they had signed the Redevelopment Agreement on August 4th. <br /> 24 No one else appeared to speak either for or against the proposal and the <br /> 25 Council took the actions recommended by the Planning Commission. <br /> 26 Council Action <br /> 27 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Enrooth to approve amending the Develop- <br /> 28 ment Concept Plan and the Detail Plan for Phase 3 of the Kenzie-Terrace <br /> 29 Redevelopment .Project as proposed by Lang-Nelson Development Corpora- <br /> 30 tion in accordance with the Site Plan and Preliminary Landscaping and <br /> 31 Utility Plans developed by Pope Associates and printed August 9, 1988. <br /> 32 This amendment would allow the construction of three buildings of three <br /> 33 stories each over underground parking as proposed on the site currently <br /> 34 occupied by the St. Anthony Village Shopping Center and an unused <br /> 35 triangular parcel of land on the west side of the Town and Country Food <br /> 36 Store property. <br /> 37 Said buildings will consist of two apartment buildings for senior rental <br /> 38 only, with Building B to contain 48 units and Building A, 57 units.
