He said he would also <br /> 7 be attending the quarterly full Board meeting of the Youth Service <br /> 8 Bureau at 7: 00 A.M. , September 15th. The Councilmember indicated he <br /> 9 had not yet received a notice of a meeting for the Anoka/Hennepin Light <br /> 10 Rail Transit Intergovernmental Advisory Committee to which he had been <br /> 11 appointed, July 26th. When Mr. Childs indicated the Committee had <br /> 12 called him when they were unable to get in touch with the Councilmember <br /> 13 regarding a September 14th meeting, Councilmember Marks indicated he <br /> 14 knew he was hard to get in touch with now that he was teaching five <br /> 15 classes in two different locations; trying to get his own consulting <br /> 16 business started; and serving as Coordinator for Computer Studies at <br /> 17 the Hennepin Technical Institute. <br /> 18 DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES <br /> 19 The following were noted and ordered filed for future information: <br /> 20 *Hance & LeVahn report on cases which they had prosecuted for the City <br /> 21 at Hennepin County District Court up to and including August 17, <br /> 22 1988; <br /> 23 *August Liquor Operation Sales Summary; • <br /> 24 *August Fire Department Report. <br /> 25 CITY MANAGER REPORTS <br /> 26 September 16 , 1988 Staff Meeting Notes <br /> 27 The City Manager explained that the people who are assisting the Public <br /> 28 Works Department in resurfacing the tennis courts are adults who are <br /> 29 considered hard to employ and are therefore candidates for Hennepin <br /> 30 County's community service job training program. <br /> 31 Mayor Sundland suggested congratulations should be extended to Police <br /> 32 Chief Hickerson for his department's establishment of 30 Crime Watch <br /> 33 neighborhoods in St. Anthony. Mr. Childs drew attention to another <br /> 34 portion of the Chief's report which indicated his department was short <br /> 35 4 police personnel.
