CHEM COUNCIL <br /> • St. Anthony/New Brighton Chemical Health Environmental Management Council <br /> 3303 Thirty-third Avenue Northeast • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota 55418 <br /> September 20, 1988 <br /> Committee Meeting <br /> Attendance: Jack Baker Dorothy Fleming Shelley Freeman <br /> John Pugleasa Guests: Officers Dave Brouillet and John Ohl <br /> Call to Order: The St. Anthony/New Brighton C.HE.M. Council met on September <br /> 20, 1988 at SAV Middle School. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm. by <br /> president, John Pugleasa. <br /> Minutes: The minutes of the August 16 meeting were approved. <br /> Treasurer's Report: In the absence of the Treasurer, Dorothy Fleming reported a <br /> balance of $423.25. Shelley Freeman and John will meet with the St. Anthony <br /> • School District Business Manager to discuss advantages of tax exempt status. They <br /> will contact Rosemary Hannan with this information. <br /> Now Business: New Brighton Officer Dave Brouillet and St. Anthony Officer John <br /> Ohl were invited to the meeting to discuss what to do about problems with <br /> enforcement of school rules and city ordinances; and how the school, police <br /> department and community can work together to solve these problems. <br /> The Committee decided to pursue these issues: <br /> 1) Expansion of current St. Anthony police force by at least one full-time officer. <br /> 2) Designate a school/police department liaison in St. Anthony. This person <br /> would deal with all school related police business. <br /> 3) Develop sub-committee to investigate othe things that seem to impede the <br /> enforcement of school rules or city ordinances i.e. court system, state legislation). <br /> Apache Security: John will contact Apache Plaza management to discuss putting <br /> up 'no loitering' signs in the parking lot. <br /> Next Meeting: The next CHRM Council meeting will be held Tuesday, <br /> October 18, 1988, 7:30 p.m. at SAV Middle School. <br /> Approved- Prepared by Dorothy Fleming, <br /> Secretary (781-0361) <br />
